This research question arises from the current context in external radiotherapy, where treatment equipment has been undergoing constant renewal for the past fifteen years or so. Whilst these new technologies offer undeniable benefits for patients\u2019 health, they also raise concerns regarding the safety of care: automation may entail the risk of healthcare staff losing control of the process.
