At the beginning of the year, the Bertin Ergonomics and Human Factors Department was awarded a contract for advanced engineering work aimed at defining the future generation of voice interfaces on the lion carmaker's vehicles. The task involves determining the uses and associated voice interactions and evaluating them on a simulator.
Since then, PSA has renewed its confidence in Bertin Ergonomie as part of the creation of a platform entirely dedicated to HMI ergonomics. The collaboration extends to drafting design guidelines and assessing the ergonomics of cockpits and modules that will be integrated into vehicles by 2015-2020. New studies on innovative on-board systems are also under way.
Bertin Ergonomie has been chosen as a long-term partner for forward-looking projects, and currently employs around twenty expert consultants at PSA.
