Following on from the high-mounted dashboard, which can be read «above» the steering wheel (an ergonomic innovation on the 208 launched in 2012), and boosted by very positive customer feedback, Peugeot is going one step further with the «i-cockpit», which centralises all the driver controls on the central screen.
For Jérôme Micheron, Peugeot's Head of Strategy, «the idea is to group all the controls together, so that the driver has the feeling of being one with the machine. The i-cockpit, with its high dashboard, central screen and «piano» buttons for accessing the various menus, is the culmination of our efforts to provide the best possible ergonomics for drivers.
