Need

Designing services to help supervise unit outages, taking into account the Organisational and Human Factors.

EDF's R&D department is looking for FOH expertise to support them in several stages of the MOSAIC project (Method and Tools for Shutdown Actors using Information and Communication Technologies):

  • In the mock-up and consolidation phase of the need for a tool to help the Sectors monitor maintenance activities (with a focus on Valves);
  • In the phase of analysing the uses of new services designed to supervise unit outages (with a focus on a tool for prioritising the regimes to be prepared by the consignment).

Intervention

Humain Design Group has contributed its expertise Organisational and human factors from the finalisation of the expression of need to the evaluation of the use of the new services in an operational situation. Our work was carried out in collaboration with ergonomists from EDF R&D in order to carry out synchronous analyses of the activities of the various players (Maintenance, Shutdown Project, Consignment).

Results

Analysis Organisational and human factors These studies led to the modelling of the process for managing the Valves and Fittings activities, as well as characterising the appropriation of the services and identifying improvements and avenues for reflection in terms of support for their integration.
