Nuclear: EDF has entrusted Bertin Ergonomie with assessing the human and socio-organisational factors involved in the computerised operation of the Flamanville EPR

Bertin Ergonomie has a long-standing relationship with the Flamanville EPR. As early as 2006, Bertin Ergonomie was commissioned to design the ergonomics of the control room layout for this very first fully automated power station in the world. Bertin Ergonomie has once again been called upon to assist EDF in carrying out the fourth round of control and command testing for the EPR. The aim is to evaluate, through simulation, the operation of the power station and to test scenarios under normal, incident or accident conditions.
