Design of applications to help prescribe services

Need

To define the ergonomics of the interfaces of an application to help prescribe services for jobseekers.

Pôle emploi wanted to provide its branch advisers with an application to help them prescribe services during interviews with jobseekers. This application was to enable agents to be guided progressively through the diagnostic phase and the prescription stage. In this respect, Pôle emploi wanted to implement a specific approach to defining the ergonomics of user interfaces to ensure that the application is suited to its future context of use.

Intervention

As part of the definition of’ergonomics of user interfaces of this prescription tool, Human Design Group has :

  • Conducted an analysis of the current activity of these advisers during interviews with jobseekers. In particular, this analysis helped to identify the constraints linked to the context in which the future tool will be used, which are structuring from the point of view of the’ergonomics of user interfaces ;
  • Formalized and structured the ergonomic requirements linked to this context and to user needs as part of the specifications for the future tool; ;
  • Contributed, through workshops with representatives of future users, to the definition and production of design solutions that will ultimately result in a ergonomics of user interfaces to meet advisers' requirements.
