CSR

Helping to make the world a safer place

Motivated by a desire to act responsibly and over the long term, Human design Group has integrated a voluntary Corporate Social Responsibility approach into the heart of the project that has driven it for many years.

The development of our CSR approach, in line with the guidelines of the Global Compact and the ISO 26000 standard, focuses on the promotion and continuous improvement of the three major areas of Sustainable Development: Economic, Environmental, Social and Societal.

Our CSR values

They are based on 7 fundamentals:

Respect for human rights and the law

Respect for human rights and laws In the conduct of its activities, Human design Group is committed to respecting and promoting within its sphere of influence the application of universal principles of human rights and laws in each establishment and country where the Group is present, whatever the local context. In general and in all circumstances, Human design Group promotes compliance within its organisation with international, national and local regulations, as well as the rules of professional ethics relating to its activities, and expects the same commitment from all its employees and the Group's stakeholders.

Environmental responsibility

As part of its activities, Human design Group takes the environmental dimension into account and monitors its main impacts while seeking to limit them. Human design Group's environmental policy is based on guiding principles deployed by all its establishments. Their aim is to inform customers and partners of the Group's commitments and to raise awareness among all its employees so that environmental responsibility becomes an integral part of its practices. With the aim of continuously improving environmental performance, Human design Group monitors the effective implementation of these guidelines and the results achieved.

Ethics and fair practices

As a key player in the profession, Human design Group attaches paramount importance to the integrity that must govern its business relationships and professional practices on a daily basis. Human design Group is constantly growing, taking on new employees every year and interacting with numerous partners. This is why Human design Group has chosen to formalise all its rules of conduct in an ethical charter that everyone must respect.

Independence and a long-term vision

Human design Group, France's leading independent ergonomics and human factors consultancy, is characterised by its private and independent shareholding. This guarantees the stability and long-term future of Human design Group, by promoting the implementation of a development strategy. Driven by a desire to make a lasting contribution to the design of products and tools adapted to human needs, Human design Group favours a responsible approach to its activities, sustainable operations and greater resilience.

Safety and working conditions

Everyone working for or with Human design Group is entitled to a healthy and safe working environment. Safeguarding the health and safety of employees and third parties in the context of its services is an absolute priority for Human design Group and is also the objective of our services and expertise. We are committed to taking all necessary measures to prevent accidents. All Human design Group establishments and employees are aware of and involved in the prevention process. Safety is everyone's business. Human design Group aims to consolidate human capital by giving meaning to the work of the men and women who have chosen its professions, by offering the most favourable working conditions possible to attract and retain talent, and by encouraging ongoing, high-quality social dialogue.

Training and skills

Because it is the men and women who shape the company on a daily basis, Human design Group has always placed people at the heart of its strategy, by developing human resources management that is as close as possible to its employees. Human design Group strives to provide everyone with the keys to individual and collective development. Induction programmes, training, skills development, internal promotion, career development: Human design Group deploys a strong policy enabling it to meet the demands of its fast-moving customers while offering each of its employees the opportunity to grow with the company.

Innovation and quality

Since its creation, the group, an expert in ergonomics and human factors, has been committed to developing a global offering that enables it to master the entire human-centred design value chain and offer its customers a solution tailored to the expectations and challenges of the market. The Human Design Group's ability to adapt to change and to meet the expectations and specific needs of its customers depends on the dynamism of each of its employees. Within the Group, innovation and initiative are strongly encouraged to take better account of the needs of customers and other stakeholders.

Our ambition

Putting people at the heart of our customers' transformations to take action sThis is our raison d'être and our daily ambition. This is our raison d'être and our daily ambition.

Our footprint

With over 45 years' multi-sector customer experience, major references in complex transformations and more than 140 human factors engineering consultants, we operate mainly in 6 key sectors: Aerospace, Mobility, Energy, Defence, Industry and Health. With 5 sites in France (Paris-Versailles, Toulouse, Aix-en-Provence, Lyon and Bordeaux) and a subsidiary in Spain (Vigo).

Practices

Born of transformation

Our structure inherits our history through six major sectors in which we have been involved, and through three cross-functional operational divisions: consulting, research and training.

This organisation illustrates our multi-sector expertise and our desire to provide end-to-end solutions, cross-fertilisation and adaptability to the specific features of each project.

Strategy

Excellence through research and innovation

Originating from INRIA, our history is closely linked to research and experimentation, particularly around the challenge of adapting research methodologies in ergonomics and human factors to changing, often complex and sometimes risky areas of industry.

This founding act, infused into the Bertin Group over 40 years, has spread to all Human design Group programmes and underpins a strategy based on anticipating transformations and developing innovative assets designed to preserve the centrality of the human element in design methodologies.

Culture

Humanists, volunteers
and enthusiastic.

Our culture reflects our mission and strategy.

We cultivate a taste for excellence, a passion for challenges and a tailor-made approach in every project we undertake. Each and every one of our employees is a researcher at heart or in practice, having to respond both to the often strategic challenges of our customers and to the efficiency and ease of use of our employees and customers.
