Bertin Ergonomie assisted its client (confidential) in designing a mobile interface to facilitate networking amongst employees from various organisations, with the aim of sharing skills and knowledge. The bulk of the project was carried out over a working week in ‘hackathon’ mode – a way of developing an IT project (‘hack’) within a short timeframe (‘marathon’).
The ergonomics consultants from Bertin Ergonomie leading the project guided the project team in defining the application’s values, identifying the key challenges, designing the screens and creating a visual identity. This time-focused, participatory approach, carried out with a gamification mindset, not only facilitated the design process but also helped the project team to put into practice the values they wished to associate with the project, thereby equipping them to win over a community of «early adopters».
