Anchoring change

Case Study

Aligning behaviour with requirements

The R&D department has drawn up an action plan dedicated to the management and control of asbestos-related risks. To strengthen this approach and gain a better understanding of recent incidents, the Health, Safety and Prevention Committee has called upon the expertise of SOH (Socio-Organisational and Human Factors) specialists from Human Design Group to analyse the situation and develop a new operational action plan.

Intervention

We have implemented an ergonomic approach to activity analysis that is systemic and focused on the reality of work:

  • Interviews with managers, key figures within the organisation and safety officers
  • In-depth analysis of existing risk management procedures and practices
  • Field visits and interviews with operational staff to gain an understanding of day-to-day operations

This approach makes it possible to identify discrepancies between what is prescribed, how the various roles are perceived, and the reality of the work.
